A Qualifying Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)* since 2011, Jay earned Court of the Table honors in 2014 and Top of the Table honors in 2015. Locally, he is a member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP), National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and the Greensboro Estate Planning Council.

Jay is actively engaged in his community, currently sitting on the Community Foundation of Greensboro’s Development Committee. Additionally, he serves on the Vestry at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, and recently co-chaired the Holy Trinity Capital Campaign. Jay is past chairperson of Holy Trinity Day School, past chairperson of the Future Fund of Greensboro, past volunteer chairperson for the Wyndham Championship (PGA Event), and is a former board member of the Prelude Society of Greensboro.

Jay earned a BA in History from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995. He earned his Masters of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) from The American College in 2011, and in July 2012 obtained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. Jay also holds FINRA Series 6 and 63 securities licenses.

Jay and his wife, Rosemary, have twin boys, Bert and Hal, and two daughters, Maye and Viv. His hobbies include chasing (or being chased by) his children, all things Tar Heels, and any opportunity to spend time on the beach or golfing. Jay has authored and self-published four children’s books: The Penny & The Pig, Treats, Twas Christmas Eve Eve, and Treats (For Dogs). His most recent book, The Penny & The Pig, introduces children to the power of saving and investing.
