September is Life Insurance Awareness Month.

Seriously.

I’m not sure how you are planning to celebrate. Maybe a cookout. Maybe a parade. Maybe gather the family around the kitchen table and reminisce about your favorite term policies.

But as silly as “Life Insurance Awareness Month” may sound to you, life insurance is not silly at all. For a lot of reasons, it can be an incredibly important part of a financial plan.
