Jay earned a BA in History from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995. He earned his Masters of Science in Financial Services (MSFS) from The American College in 2011, and in July 2012 obtained the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation. Jay also holds FINRA Series 6 and 63 securities registrations.
Jay and his wife, Rosemary, have twin boys, Bert and Hal, and two daughters, Maye and Viv. His hobbies include chasing (or being chased by) his children, all things Tar Heels, and any opportunity to spend time on the beach or golfing. Jay has authored and self-published four children’s books: The Penny & The Pig, Treats, Twas Christmas Eve Eve, and Treats (For Dogs). His most recent book, The Penny & The Pig, introduces children to the power of saving and investing.
